Urgent Supplies Needed for Local Nurse, Mom and Veteran that is traveling with Veterans for Standing Rock - https://www.facebook.com/VeteransStandForStandingRock/?pnref=story

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

Non-latex medical gloves (all sizes)
Distilled Water
Rolled gauze
Ace wraps
Ice packs
Bandaids
Antiseptic wipes
Hydrogen peroxide
Liquid antacids (aluminum or magnesium based for pepper spray decon)
And a ton of good medical tape. Like take the biggest number you could imagine us needing and then add two more just in case.
We need baxter fluid
We need hypotermia blankets. Hundreds of them.
We need decon kits. Trauma bandages. Sanitation wipes
I would think that bandaging supplies (Kerlex, coban, 4x4's, multi-trauma dressings) and splinting supplies.  Also, I know they were asking for Liquid Maalox (the antacid, it can be mixed 50/50 with water to help neutralize pepper spray and tear gas).  I don't know how connected your friends are, but earlier, the Medic/Healing council was asking for suture kits.
Some non medical supplies they were asking for was wool socks and gloves, heavy weather clothing, small propane tanks and in-door heaters (I.e. Mr. Heaters & buddy heaters), packages of Beef Jerky

"These are the vets going to Standing Rock. It means so much more for Veterans to stand next to Americans and fight for our country than it does to go to foreign lands and fight for corporate interests. That is what I have heard from many of the vets. I am going because I cannot sit idly by as natives are once again mistreated and violated. As a veteran I have promised to serve my country. Although my contract was up many years ago, I still have the commitment. I love my country, I love the diversity, I want to protect it. I want to stand for those who are trying to protect our environment. It benefits us all. I feel strongly that we need to move to other energy sources and quit polluting our lands. I am a nurse. I know people are being injured as they stand peacefully in prayer. I feel a strong need to help them heal. I love that over 2100 veterans have stood up for this cause. I know servicemen and trust that we have each other's backs. I also think that number can finally bring the media attention to all. I am loved and appreciated as a veteran. When people hear I have served, they thank me. I am betting that many of those people will stand up and say "no more" once they see our beloved veterans standing on the line and taking abuse to give our indigenous a much needed respite.
